KD Says: For all you Twilighters and New Mooners!

Nike-SB-Blazer-Premium-Blood-Splatter

The Nike Team has done good releasing a Halloween-inspired sneakers for its October lineup. Timing is everything and for skateboarders who are fans of Nike’s design innovations, there is no better time to get this pair than soonest. This collection features a white canvas upper splattered with red blood print all over, which obviously was the basis of the label. Off-white panels in the tongue area, white shoelaces, red accents, and a gray suede for Nike logo complete the look. It sits atop a white sole with gray accents in front. Overall, it’s a clean design though not everyone would agree based on the response in fora and blogs. I guess Nike would only have to see the feedback from the sales.

Wool Sneakers for the cold season

ADCTD_LACED_CLAEWOOL

I am all for designers and manufacturers who make products not only with aesthetic value, but more importantly, products that have obvious practical uses. Take for example, Clae Russell’s Wool Sneakers. As winter is forecasted to be colder this year, you would want to be in sneakers that will keep you warm. With this pair, there is no reason for anyone to get cold feet, pun unintended.

This mid top set features two colorway in navy and charcoal wool with leather details and waxed laces. It features a smooth pull up leather upper with a classic cup sole. Clae Russell’s Wool Sneakers are part of Fall 2009 collection.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Folks!

Are you wearing your green today? I certainly wouldn’t want to see anybody getting pinched. And why is it that this is one habit that most so-called adults that I’ve known have never outgrown? There really are few things less dignified than adults being gleefully pinched by coworkers. Oh well ….

I’m wearing my green …. My kids made certain of that. My outfit today is primarily courtesy of my four-year old son’s foray into my closet this morning. Given that knowledge, it is not nearly as cartoonish an ensemble as one might imagine.

So, in the theme of green, here are a few earthy-green shoes for your consideration:

Boots:

French Connection ‘Holly’ $146.25 $298 at 6pm.com

Booties:

Dolce Vita ‘5173-18′ $88.92 $167 at 6pm.com

Low Sandals:

Everybody by BZ Moda ‘Opal’ in Avocado $179.95 at Endless.com

And Heels:

Exchange by Charles David ‘Web’ $52.65 $99 at 6pm.com

Heels:

Kors by Michael Kors ‘Talulah’ $249 at Zappos.com

And more Heels:

Pour La Victoire ‘Pascale’ $319.99 at Heels.com

As for me, I am wearing my patiently stalked Pour La Victoire ‘Penelope’ oxfords - which I picked up on clearance at Amazon last Fall:

How about you? How do you show your holiday green?
